Le carbure de silicium est utilisé dans :

  • le papier de verre,
  • les composites,
  • la céramique,
  • les meules abrasives et les matériaux refaractaires.

Il est également utilisé par diverses industries (aérospatiale, automobile, production d'énergie) comme matériau de renforcement dans les composites de céramique avancés, les composants électroniques et divers autres utilisations.
