Le méthyl parathion est un insecticide à large spectre. Autrefois, il était largement utilisé en agriculture pour lutter contre certains insectes nuisibles à l'homme (poux, moustiques, acariens...).

L'utilisation du méthyl parathion comme pesticide n'est pas homologuée au Canada.
